The Code of Practice contains revisions to 11 of the 33 guidance notes. The guidance notes that have been updated are: Information to be provided prior to consent; Legal parenthood; Welfare of the child; Donor recruitment, assessment and screening; Payments for donors; Surrogacy; Procuring, processing and transporting gametes and embryos; Donor assisted conception; Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI); Research and training; and Confidentiality and privacy.
The consent forms that have been updated to incorporate some of these changes are available on the Clinic Portal and also come into effect today.
