EU exit update - 03/04/2019

If the Withdrawal Agreement is not approved by the House of Commons, the legal default in UK and EU law is that the UK will leave the EU at 11pm (UK time) on 12 April 2019 without a deal.

Therefore, the government is planning for a no deal scenario on 12 April.
Please continue the work you are undertaking to prepare your organisation for leaving the EU without a deal and do not wind-down your contingency plans at this stage.

The Department of Health and Social Care will continue to work on its no deal plans and has asked all other organisations in the health and care system to continue their plans.

In the meantime, see this letter from NHS England regarding the National Supply Disruption Response system and a link to NHS England, which provides an update on continuity of medicines supply and an FAQ.
