In April’s edition of Clinic Focus, we told you that the Code of Practice would be updated on 2 May 2017, due to last minute advice from the Department of Health. We’re glad to inform you that the changes have now been published on the beta version of our website.
The main update relates to legal parenthood – particularly, what you should do if you discover an error(s) in the way legal parenthood has been recorded at your clinic, how to record consent to posthumous birth registration, and when to ensure a patient’s marital status is noted.
Please note that changes to General Directions have gone live as set out in Sally Cheshire’s Chair’s Letter CH(17)01.
